Every unit at once
Most converters make you pick a pair and give you one number. This shows the whole category, because the question is usually "how big is this, really" rather than one specific conversion.
Data sizes are the case worth knowing: a kilobyte is 1,000 bytes and a kibibyte is 1,024. Drive manufacturers use the first and operating systems often report the second, which is the entire reason a "1 TB" drive shows up as 931 GB.
Frequently asked questions
Why is temperature handled separately?
Every other unit converts by a single ratio. Temperature scales have different zero points as well as different sizes, so converting needs an offset and cannot use the same table.
What is a pyeong?
The everyday unit of floor area in Korea and Japan, equal to 400/121 m² — about 3.306 m². Property listings still quote it even though it is no longer the legal unit.
